The Alma del viento ensemble, which translates to soul of the wind, nurtures traditional South American music from Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, as well as socially engaged songs called nueva cancion (new song), which are the result of the rebellion against the then political regime in Argentina and Chile in 60s. They also cover traditional songs of Medžimurje. With the rhythms of huayñe, cuece, chacarere, takiraria, zamba, vidale, chamame, they take the audience on a very special musical journey.
