Festive December in Sobota 2025

In December, Murska Sobota will host a rich festive programme. The Christmas lights will be turned on the evening before St. Nicholas’ feast day, on December 5th, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. At the same time, the ice rink will be opened in Trubarjev Drevored. There will be food stalls and a stage for animation and music programs.
From December 18th to 20th, 2025, there will be a Christmas market at Trg Zmage (Victory Square) with local handmade products and holiday treats. Santa Claus will arrive on December 18th, 2025, at the castle square.
On Saturdays in December, Gledališče Park will host children's theater, puppet, and film programs.
We will conclude the festive December in Murska Sobota with an outdoor New Year’s Eve celebration at Trg Zmage. On Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., there will be a celebration for children, followed by a big party with the band Zlata žila from 10:00 p.m. onward.
