Smrdel Brothers Collective is a musical collective led by the virtuosos of the younger generation, bassist Peter Smrdel and drummer Žiga Smrdel. The band was first formed as a backing band for the 30th anniversary of the radio show Izštekani on Valu 202, where Peter and Žiga, together with a 17-member team, arranged and performed the greatest hits of renowned Slovenian musicians on the sold-out Križanki stage. Since then, the collective has collaborated with numerous established artists, including the outstanding author and singer Marina Martensson, a member of the legendary band Laibach. Their music intertwines elements of soul, R&B, funk, hip hop and jazz.
