Langash Festival
Vaški dom Gaberje
Under the auspices of the Gaberje pri Lendavi Tourist Association, the Gaberje Local Community and in cooperation with other associations, a langaš festival will be held at the village hall in Gaber, namely a competition for the best langaš on 10 and 11 July 2026.
Langaš is said to have come to Prekmurje from neighboring Hungary many years ago, especially in the ethnically mixed area. It is a home-made dish that was once prepared by our grandmothers, using various recipes, and has already become established in Prekmurje. In Gaber, they want to protect it as a trademark and offer it to tourists and excursionists who visit these places.
