Soboš Summer 2026: SCARLET SQUIRTS: "KAFA" MUSIC FROM TRIGLAVO TO VARDAR AND ACROSS THE BORDER

The Scarlet Squirrels revive pub music from Triglav to Vardar and beyond. Passionate singing and playing, a thick songbook, "discretion" under the guise of being popular and good will are just some of their most recognizable characteristics. Their melodies range from the grace of folk bands to partisan songs and the fire of pub passion. Many strings and membranes, bow and accordion, unmistakable duets and mixtures of domestic and Balkan rhythms announce that the Squirrels are somewhere nearby. But be prepared: The Scarlet Squirrels only start to sing well at sunset and like to sing and play long into the night.
