Soboški dnevi Festival 2026: Alpine Quintet and Oto Pestner

One of the most recognizable ensembles of Slovenian folk music will perform in the city park on its 60th anniversary, accompanied by Oto Pestner.

Performers: Janez Per (baritone), Ciril Skebe (accordion), Damir Tkavc (trumpet), Maja Šturm Razboršek (voice), Mihael Možina (voice), Marjan Rolc (guitar) and Franjo Maček (clarinet) and Oto Pestner (voice).

The Alpine Quintet marks 60 years of continuous operation in 2026. It is considered one of the most recognizable and influential ensembles of Slovenian folk and popular music, which has been co-creating the musical space at home and abroad for six decades.

With their distinctive Alpine style, based on a classic quintet formation and rich polyphonic arrangements, they have left their mark on many generations of listeners. Their music, which combines tradition, technical perfection and a sense of melody, has found its way primarily to stages in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, where they have become regular guests in concert halls and radio programs.
