WE ARE ALL THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS - Ceremonial Academy on the 100th anniversary of the construction of Plečnik's church in Bogojina

This year, Bogojina is starting a series of cultural and spiritual events to mark the centenary of the beginning of construction of the parish church of the Ascension of the Lord, while the peak of the celebrations will be in 2027.

From the foundations upwards, the White Dove rose to the top on the Bogojina hill. Brick by brick from the hands of hardworking masons and locals according to the plans of the giant of Slovenian and world architecture, the master Plečnik. This is a masterpiece of world proportions, of which Plečnik was not ashamed before any architectural depiction. Nowhere could this pearl blend more into the harmony of the landscape. The humility and industriousness of the little man from Prekmurje was the key to realizing Plečnik's idea.

We will prepare a ceremonial academy in gratitude and memory of Plečnik. Isn't all this the work of His hands?
